INSTALLING & CHANGING BATTERIES Press the on/off button to turn on the thermometer, then press and hold [MEM] to change the unit of measurement from °C (Celsius) to °F (Fahrenheit) or vice versa. CHOOSING THE UNIT OF MEASUREMENT • Press the on/off button to turn on the thermometer, then press and hold [MEM] to change the unit of measurement from °C (Celsius) to °F (Fahrenheit) or vice versa. TAKING THE FOREHEAD TEMPERATURE Check that the cap is in place for taking the forehead temperature. 1. Press the mode button to select forehead temperature measurement. (Before taking any temperature, check that the probe is clean).
2. Place the probe on the forehead.
3. Press the temperature measurement button for 2 seconds.
4. Keep the thermometer on your forehead until you hear two beeps.
5. Then, remove the thermometer from the forehead. 6. The temperature is displayed along with a green or red color depending on the result. Green: 34.0°C (93.2°F) ~ 37.9°C (100.3°F) Red: 38.0°C (100.4°F) ~ 42.9°C (109.3°F)
7. After 6 seconds, you can take your temperature again.
8. The temperature is automatically stored. The forehead temperature may be affected by external climatic conditions. If in doubt, take the ear temperature.

EAR TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT
1. Remove the probe cap.
2. Press the mode button to select ear temperature measurement. (Before taking a temperature measurement, check that the probe is clean).
3. Place the probe in the ear canal.
4. Press the temperature measurement button for 2 seconds.
5. Keep the thermometer in your ear canal until you hear two beeps.
6. Then remove the thermometer from your ear canal.
7. The temperature will be displayed along with a green or red color depending on the result. After 6 seconds, you can take your temperature again. The temperature taken in the right ear may differ from the temperature taken in the left ear. Therefore, always take your temperature in the same ear.

MEASURING THE TEMPERATURE OF AN OBJECT 1. Remove the probe cap. 2. Press the mode button to select the object temperature measurement mode. 3. Place the probe 1 cm to 5 cm away from the object. 4. Press and hold the temperature measurement button for 2 seconds. 5. Then remove the thermometer from the object. 6. The temperature is displayed. CLEANING TIP When you have not used the thermometer for a long time or have taken several measurements, the cleaning symbol appears to remind the user to clean the infrared sensor. The thermometer will return to its original mode after pressing any button, and the backlight will stop flashing.
