Thanks to its infrared technology, the Thermo Distance allows you to take your temperature remotely, without direct contact with your skin. It is equipped with a large backlit LCD screen, making it easy to read the results, even in the dark.

Its clever color code makes it easy to interpret the results: Green indicates a normal temperature, red indicates a fever or high temperature.

Usage tips

INSTALLING & CHANGING THE BATTERIES
• To install or change the 2 LR3 batteries, open the battery compartment by lowering the cover, insert the batteries ensuring correct polarity, and close the cover before use.
• Change the batteries if the low battery symbol appears or if the thermometer no longer turns on. CHOOSING THE UNIT OF MEASUREMENT Press one of the 2 buttons to turn on the thermometer, then press and hold [M] to change the unit of measurement from °C (Celsius) to °F (Fahrenheit) or vice versa.

TAKING THE FOREHEAD TEMPERATURE
1. Hold the thermometer in your hand with your thumb on the temperature measurement button.
2. Press the temperature measurement button to turn on the thermometer.
3. Place the thermometer 1 to 5 cm from the forehead and press the temperature measurement button again.
4. A double beep indicates that the distance is correct, followed within 2 seconds by another double beep and the screen lighting up to indicate that the temperature measurement is complete. The thermometer can then be removed from the child's/adult's forehead.
5. The temperature is immediately displayed on the LCD screen, accompanied by a color indicator (green or red) to indicate whether or not there is a fever. Green: 93.2°F (34.0°C) ~ 100.3°F (37.9°C) Red: 38.0°C (100.4°F) ~ 42.9°C (109.3°F) 6. The temperature is automatically stored in memory.

MEASURING THE TEMPERATURE OF AN OBJECT/LIQUID

1. To measure the surface temperature of an object, food, or liquid, switch the thermometer to object mode.
2. Press the [M] button, then while holding down the [M] button, press the temperature measurement button several times until the screen shown opposite appears:

4. Point the thermometer at the desired surface, always at a distance of 1 to 5 cm.
5. Press the temperature measurement button . A beep sounds and the temperature is displayed immediately.
